We kick off this week’s show with three tracks from Ed Kuepper‘s first post-The Saints band called the Laughing Clowns. This seminal project, which mixed the diverse influences of free jazz, bluegrass and krautrock, was active between 1979 and 1984 and gained a cult following in Australia and Europe, before Kuepper embarked on his long running and much lauded solo career. We follow up with brand new Australian music from Jack And The Kids and Emilee South.

Our guest this week is Ontario-based singer-songwriter Wax Mannequin. I had the good fortune of seeing Wax play a live show recently and was blown away by his unique melodic sensibility and sophisticated musicianship. Wax Mannequin has been a fixture on the Canadian independent music scene since 2000 with 7 records and countless tours and festival appearances to his name. Tune in to hear two Wax Mannequin tracks and an articulate chat which includes reminiscences of his adventures on tour in Australia!
