Following the Hoodoo Guru’s hiatus in 1998, band members got the itch to play again, so they re-branded themselves as The Persian Rugs and put out an EP and LP, chock full of 60s-style garage rock tunes. We air three of these tracks this week. Our mix of new tunes this week includes family band A Country Practice with their song ‘The Inundation into Our Room’ – a reflection on past floods and storms that hit South East Queensland, and a single from Vancouverite Marin Patenaude’s forthcoming full-length.
