Following on from last show’s feature on Canberra bands, at the top of this week’s show we air the 1979 track ‘Buried Country’ from Tactics (Tactics formed in Canberra in 1977 and interestingly featured Steve Kilbey on bass in an early incarnation), which is an early example of a post-punk band’s statement against the government’s mistreatments of Aboriginal people.

We introduce listeners to new band from the musical hotbed of Dunedin New Zealand, called Marlin’s Dreaming, as well as 60s inspired Perth-based rock outfit, Catzilla. We also debut ‘SuperHIT’ from CiTR Radio’s own Russian Tim from his punk band Russian Tim and the Pavel Bures!
