Icehouse are a long-running new wave/synth-pop band from Sydney, active since 1977, which we’ve not explored on the show so far. We make up for lost time this week with three singles from the album Flowers (1980). Then we’re excited to air a brand new track from Eddie Current Suppression Ring! It’s been a full ten years since their last album. I can’t wait to check out the new record All In Good Time. After our mix of new Canadian tracks we wrap the show with a classic from The Clean.

RIP to rhythm guitar legend Malcolm Young of AC/DC. Malcom passed away this week after battling with dementia which sidelined him from touring in 2014. We air three AC/DC classics at the top of the show before introducing listeners to a great contemporary Aussie rock band – Bad//Dreems of Adelaide. You can also hear great new tracks from Aboriginal artist Dan Sultan, First Nations artist Jay Gilday of Edmonton, Saskatoon’s Steph Cameron and more.
