‘Stranded’ is back’ We’re resuming the show after roughly 6 months off, as a simulcast pre-recorded show on CiTR 101.9fm. One of the outstanding live shows on CiTR is the speciality punk-rock show Rocket To Russia, hosted by Tim Bogdachev. Tim is a huge fan of Sydney-based punk band Frenzal Rhomb, even going to far to say they are the ‘second best punk band in the world’! I think they’re a great band, but personally I feel Melbourne legends The Meanies are a cut above Frenzal Rhomb. But you decide! We start the show with three classics from Frenzal Rhomb, followed by three tracks from the brand new Meanies album, ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’.
Later in the show you’ll hear lots of brand new Canadian music, including a wonderful track from the debut record by Ashley Shadow. Ashely is Vancouver-based and a former member of The Organ.
