* Featuring special guest singer-songwriter Jamison Troy LIVE in the CiTR studio *

Nardwuar the Human Serviette recently gifted me with a copy of the debut 7″ of Vancouver garage rock legends The Smugglers, straight from his personal archive!  You can hear both sides of the record at the start of today’s show.  Next up are tracks from the three artists who are playing the Mint Records showcase at this weekend’s Sled Island Festival in Calgary (which by now unfortunately is washed out due to the epic floods…)

The remainder of the show is devoted to bands from the province of Saskatchewan.  Rah Rah and Library Voices are two of Regina’s finest bands. And Regina native Jamison Troy joins us live in the  CiTR studio!  Jamison has three recordings to his name, is very active in in the local Vancouver scene where he is presently based.  Jamison shares two brand new tracks today, as well as his single ‘I’ve Hurt People’, and speaks of his recent cross-Canada jaunt. We finish up the show with two of Jamison Troy’s recommended artists, and the cover of ‘Cortez the Killer’ by The Church, from their Box of Birds album.
